Material Matters or is it really?

We Humans live in a world created by us. A world created by us to give us pleasure and leisure. A world which does not belong to us modified from its natural existence to the present state just to suit our greed. Initially everything was great with this usage point of view; new technology which just made our life easier. But everything has come to a right turn with the material point of view. We talk about patents, rights and so on preventing others from using what they have been using for years in a natural existence. No more things are done keeping the service or the usage of the people in mind rather things are done with an aspect of how much profit can be squeezed or how much of demand can be created? How much dependent can something be made and how to monopolize it? All the world’s war, misery and poverty can be attributed to this material aspect of life. There is conflict everywhere among countries, among people within a country and so on. Russia and Baltic countries are fighting to establish their right in the North Pole; gulf and western countries fighting for right over petroleum; Tamilnadu and Karnataka fighting for right over Cauvery water. But how does someone claim ownership of something which existed even before their own existence. Pathetic isn’t it. But still the world is so messed up that it is just another normal event. We see an endemic after endemic, that even the world health organisation issuing statements that by the time they eradicate one they end up at looking into another. Maybe these diseases are cooked up in laboratories and are spread just to increase their vaccine sales. Just a weird imagination; But it is not impossible these days. We see death and malnutrition in the African countries whereas obesity and related diseases in North American and European countries. I may sound as just another of those socialist talking about the class conflicts between the rich and the poor. The employers and the employees; Yes i am a socialist but not the one talking about the class conflict or revolution to dethrone the existing system killing 100s. Socialism as i believe is something without class conflicts, with equality to every human for who they are and what they do. It is everyone doing what they can do best sharing with people who are dependent on them. This was the order of life or how it was for centuries before everything got really messed up. The best socialist institution in the world for the world to see is a family, where each one at home does what they can do best, sharing it with other dependents at home who can’t work. Today it is a worrying sight to see the whole world completely materialized and fighting for possession of these mortal things. Money matters today, but from a thing which aids a peaceful existence it has transformed the life of so many to that of misery and pain. Money does matter today but does it really matter more than life itself to see 100’s of life getting ruined for a material thing. I don’t know how everything gets rolled up eventually. But I fear we humans don’t end our self’s and this universe with another nuclear war. Just liked to quote something I read somewhere,
When we remove stones from their hands
They take arrows to fight;
When we remove those arrows from them
They take knives in their hands;
When we remove these knives from them
They take guns in their hands;
When we remove these guns from them
They take missiles to fight;
When we remove these missiles
They fight with their hands;
When we remove their hands
They fight with their heads;
When this is in their heads
Nothing could be done.
So the past is not in our hands,
But the future is.
So plan our present to
Enlighten the future with peace.

Hope we have a bright future where all live in this very world with peace and harmony, as brothers and sisters, as members of a family. Sharing things we have in excess, saving for the future, leaving something for the generations that comes after us. With Technology developed for the peaceful existence of the human life rather to increase the bank balance of some specific set of people ruining the lives of others.
